Vegan Paprikas Krumpli - Hungarian Sausage Stew
Ingredients
- 1 KG Potatoes Peeled and cubed
- 2 Medium Onions diced
- 500 Grams Mixed Sausages
- 2 large Bell peppers (red)
- 1 red chilli
- 2 Cups plain flour
- 2 Teaspoons Garlic puree
- 2 Teaspoons Hot Paprika
- 2 Teaspoons Tomato Paste
- 2 Teaspoons Black Pepper
- 2 Teaspoons Salt
- 2 Teaspoons Vinegar
- 1 Teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- Water Enough to cover the ingredients in the pot
Instructions
- Peel and cube the potatoes
- Slice the sausages in equal sized pieces
- Chop the onions
- Cut the red peppers into equal squares and thin slice the chili
- Add some oil to a pot and fry the onions
- add in the peppers
- Stir the mix for 3 minutes until all is soft
- Add in the sausages
- Once all is mixed, add in the spices and tomato paste and mix until all combined
- Add in the potatoes and stir
- Add in water to cover the potatoes and sausages and place a lid on the pot
- After 5 minutes you will have some sauce from the pot, extract 4 cups from it and place in a separate bowl
- In that bowl, add a teaspoon of salt and the flour and stir until you have a dough
- kneed it for 3 minutes
- roll the dough into long 'sausages' and cut to create dumplings
- Add the dumplings to the pot and cook until they are ready, chewy and delicious!
