Vegan Garlic Naan bread
Equipment
- 1 non stick pan
Ingredients
- 300 Grams Self Raising flour
- 3/4 Cup vegan yoghurt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons vegan milk
- 2 teaspoons cooking oil
- 1 teaspoon nigella seeds optional but amazing
- 1 handful chopped cilantro / coriander
- 3 cloves garlic extra finely sliced
- Vegan butter
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
- in a large mixing bowl, add the powdered ingredients and stir well.
- add in the vegan yoghurt, oil and plant based milk
- knead and roll into a ball
- cut the ball into equal parts
- flatten out with a rolling pin and sprinkle on the finely sliced garlic, nigella seeds and coriander leaves
- With the rolling pin, roll over the flat dough to ensure the added ingredients all sink in.
- meanwhile preheat a nonstick pan to the point where it's piping hot
- place the breads on the pan and watch the magic! flip over to ensure both sides are cooked.
- Once plated, brush with some melted butter and serve!
