Hello and Welcome To Uncle Lou's Kitchen today we'll be showing you how to make vegan Chinese lemon Chicken like in your favourite Chinese Restaurant or takeaway.
Chinese lemon chicken is a popular dish that can be difficult for vegans to enjoy. However, with a few simple substitutions, this dish can easily be adapted to a plant-based version that is just as tasty as the original.
To make vegan lemon chicken, tofu is often used as a substitute for chicken. The tofu is first coated in a batter made from cornstarch, then deep fried until crispy. The lemon sauce is made from lemon juice, sugar, and cornstarch, which is combined with the crispy tofu to create a tangy and delicious dish. Not only is this vegan version of lemon chicken just as delicious as the original, but it is also much healthier.
By using tofu instead of chicken, you are reducing your intake of saturated fats and cholesterol, while increasing your consumption of protein and other essential nutrients. Additionally, by using a plant-based lemon sauce, you can avoid the use of animal products and other unhealthy ingredients found in traditional lemon chicken recipes.
