Hello and Welcome To Uncle Lou's Kitchen today we'll be showing you how to make VEGAN Tzatziki.
Using Tofu, instead of yoghurt This is an easy recipe to make and does not contain dairy. This is the most accurate flavour I've ever had to the real thing.
Tzatziki is a classic Greek dip made with yogurt, cucumber, garlic, and herbs. But for those following a vegan diet, silken tofu can be a delicious substitute for the yogurt.
Silken tofu has a smooth and creamy texture that makes it an ideal base for tzatziki. To make this dip, simply blend the silken tofu with lemon juice, garlic, fresh herbs like dill and mint, and a touch of salt.
Next, fold in grated cucumber for a refreshing crunch. Not only is this vegan version of tzatziki a tasty alternative, but it's also a healthier option compared to the traditional dip. Silken tofu is low in fat and calories and high in protein, making it a great choice for those following a plant-based diet.
Serve the tzatziki with fresh vegetables, pita bread, or as a topping for grilled vegetables or vegan burgers. So, if you're looking for a delicious and nutritious vegan dip, give this tzatziki recipe a try and enjoy the flavors of Greece without any animal products.
